Vista - TSSTcorp CD DVDW ts-L632p ata device [Not working! need help!!]

I'm new here, and I need help with my drive... like I was able to watch movies and such the other day, and now today it's not working. it shows up this message:

i'm not too good with computers.... so please help me!!!

yeah having the same problem here with the tsstcorp-cd-dvdw-ts-h652h-ata-device, its in an emachine with vista home premium 32 bit . not too savy with the registry , can someone offer a suggestion or solution to this problem I tried to do an uninstall and restarted the pc , it dectected the hardware but failed to install the driver , got same code 39 error.

i actually followed the reply from microdude 431 posted on here for mine... and it worked for me

just follow the steps.. to look for registry on vista. where you see "start search" when you open the lil start menu. type in regedit since your using vista... regedit. and when you see it.. click it.. and press like continue... [will take you to registry] and then like simply follow the the steps on the link that was given.. it works!!!!!!!!! i'm not a wiz also.. but after following the steps.. and i emailed microsoft and those are the same steps they gave me....
