Heya

This is in connection with my first thread about my BSOD with Ultimate, I now have the error code nv4-mini.sys.

I am going to put vista back on fresh, and NOT install drivers from my WinFast CD. 6100M2MA, but instead get updated drivers from Nvidia and chipset driver from foxconn, the sound card is fine, i think its the VGA driver or onboard graphics driver, so i got the 178xx from Nvidia to sort out graphics and Chipset.

Can anyone else give my some tips or useful information on this matter. I have run vista before fine, but then it just goes sometimes.

Get a driver cleaner to get rid of all Nvidia and ATI video drivers. Then, do a fresh install of the drivers. Don't overclock the video card or CPU until you get them running stable.

^^ theres your driver cleaner uninstall drivers , boot into safemode and run driver cleaner (read the instructions)!! then reboot and install new/differant drivers

NV4 error is GPU driver related NVidia :P

where can i get the fresh drivers from?

i dont even know how to overclock so i hope im not doing it lol

i have the video one, 178.24, should i get the chipset from nvidia too, the nforce one??

i used the driver clean up tool to remove nvidia drivers and then it said it couldnt boot

Can you boot into vga only or safe mode.
