| vista x64 | Vista cant find driver for 2wire on the disk Hello i need help im new to the forum. I need some help. I have a 2003 two wire system in the house. I have two computers in the house one in the second story and one in the basement. The one in the second story has a two wire home portal modem box which connects to the computer through and ethernet cable. If you want any more computers in the house (the one in the basement) to connect to the internet you have to run a regular phoneline from the wall in to a (2wire pc port phoneline homepna 10mbps usb adapter) you can take what i just put in parenthesses (sp) and put it into a google search and look it up and also if you want to see it just put it in the google search and look under images. it takes your regular phone line and converts it to a highspeed internet. I have that device and its software disk. I had a windows xp computer where i plugged in the devise and had the computer search on the cd for the driver and it found it and installed. i now have windows vista computer and plug in the device and it sees the two wire adapter i then put in the disk have the computer look for the driver and it cant find it. So the software disk worked in the xp compouter and now with the vista comp it wont find it. The disk is from 2003. Im not sure if there is a fix for this if i need a new cd(does the differnt windows like vista or xp or 98 need differnt drivers to work with it or should this cd i have with the driver on it work in any windows? well if you could get back to me thank you so much it would be so help full Richard |

| Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 SP2 Windows 7 7127 x64 | Re: Vista cant find driver for 2wire on the disk Hi Soccerpro and welcome. If the manufacturer does not have Vista drivers, I do not think that you will find them anywhere else. After a google search has not turned up a driver then I think you may have some problems using that particular device with Vista. It is also 2003 which is quite some time ago. Contact the manufacturer and ask if there is a vista driver anywhere or a firmware update that you could apply. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Beta, Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Vista cant find driver for 2wire on the disk "Explore" the Driver CD. look for a file ending in the extension .exe. (ie install.exe.) Right click etc. If there isn't one in the main folder like that then you are out of luck again. Some drivers don't have an install file. |

| 32bit Home premium | Re: Vista cant find driver for 2wire on the disk 2Wire.com: Support Click on driver (using the vista computer), run it and there ya go. Use dial up to download if you have to, eh? Hope that will help. There are no Vista drivers. Last edited by movingtarget; 12-30-2008 at 03:41 AM.. Reason: Clarified |
