EST USB Server ES1868

i have this USB Server made by Elite Silicon its basically a 4 Port USB Server. I can install it and use it fine on XP but on my vista machine it detects it and installs the software and can see the devices in the software supplied how ever i cannot connect to it and it brings up the following error:

USB Server Bus does not exist. Please uninstall the USBServer and reinstall it. I have done this but its made no difference. I dont know if it just doesnt like vista or doesnt like it as im using a 64bit version.

Does anyone know where i might be able to find some better drivers for this. As vista doesnt seem to be able to find any.

All the files on the cd that come with it are in one MSI which i cant extract them out of either.

Re: EST USB Server ES1868

I had the same problem and have come across a solution that worked for me.

Go into Control Panel then Device Manager

you should see Other Devices

and something like Networked USB Server and/or the name of your device

Right click the name of your device and select Update Driver Software

Select Search Automatically and windows will install the driver from the web

Hope it works for you

Were there two items with the exclamation mark on them? if so, it's the one that does NOT say USB server

Re: EST USB Server ES1868

no it just says Other Devices with like a icon of a external hard drive with a blue ? and when you click on the plus beside it has an item listed as Unknown Device and the icon again is a external drive with a yellow exclamation mark beside it. It is the only one there.

Re: EST USB Server ES1868

Go to control panel
Divice manager
under other devices there should be two problem devices
try the following on both of them (one should work)

right click, properties,reinstall drivers
browse my computer for driver software
go to where driver was installed. On my computer it was as follows

C:\Program Files\Rally solution

click next that should do it
Good luck
