So when it recovers from these crashes, a blue screen loaded with helpful (?) info about the crash appears on my monitor for about half a second.
I have managed to pick out the words "reset the display driver".
What I am looking for is a way to stop the recovery process when the blue screen is displayed so that I can read all about my problem and how to fix it.
Please tell me how to do this. Thanks.
Update: I just found this post in another forum:
" . . . Right click on "Computer" and go to properties>advanced system settings then go to "Settings" for "Startup and Recovery" at the bottom. Under "System failure", uncheck the "Automatically restart" box. When you get a blue/red/white screen now, it won't restart, so you will be able to read what it says, which can help troubleshoot your problem. . ."
This seems like it should work--my concern now is how I'm ever going to be able to restart my computer if it won't restart after taking the above steps ????? Help! Thanks
