| Vista Ultimate 32bit | My CD ROM doesn't open hi to all.. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop with windows vista ultimate opearting system.. the perblem is my cd\rw drive doesn't opening ..also, when I clicked on computer icon, the cd drive doesn't apper.. I tried to install the drive from dell website , but it didn't worked.. should i format my laptop to solve this problem???.. i hope to hearning from you ASAP. thanks |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: My CD ROM doesn't open Search is your friend.  I explained how to fix this problem in another post ->>> DVD RW missing problem Follow the directions and all should work. This is a common Vista bug. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: My CD ROM doesn't open regedit is already installed, to get to it go to your start menu, and select run... then type regedit into the dialog box. Make sure to follow the instructions to the letter, if you poke around in regedit you can screw up the machine. |

| Windows 7 x64 (7229) | Re: My CD ROM doesn't open This same thing happened to me on my new HP. I noticed the plug in the back of the CD/DVD drive was not all the way in. You may want to check that just to make sure. |
