Can anyone help! I have got a new Packard Bell computer (Vista) but my printer won't work. The printer is on the system and there is power but it says the drivers are out of date I have tried hp site but it says that there are no drivers for this printer on vista.

Hope this makes sense I am new to these forums:confused:

Hello Harry2,

It could be that if they do not make drivers for that printer for vista, that it will not work with vista at all.

*I never said this.....*

According to HP, the generic Vista driver should work with your printer. I have the same situation with two older HP printers (950c and a g85) and they both work - just plugged 'em in and it installed. On the g85 (multifunction) however, the fax was no longer available... but it worked fine for printing. --ch

Yeah that should work. It is usually the best and most viable option.

Also you could be right. Better to not use them...

Would it be that when I got my new pc I set it up all together? what if I take the printer of the system and re-install to pc? I will do this and let you know what happens:huh:
