Re: HP 5550 Printer need Drivers

Hello Harry2,

It could be that if they do not make drivers for that printer for vista, that it will not work with vista at all.

*I never said this.....*

According to HP, the generic Vista driver should work with your printer. I have the same situation with two older HP printers (950c and a g85) and they both work - just plugged 'em in and it installed. On the g85 (multifunction) however, the fax was no longer available... but it worked fine for printing. --ch

Yeah that should work. It is usually the best and most viable option.

Also you could be right. Better to not use them...

Thanks for your reply

Would it be that when I got my new pc I set it up all together? what if I take the printer of the system and re-install to pc? I will do this and let you know what happens
