Realtek Manager Missing Options

On my old PC I had Realtek HD Audio to, but on my new one I'm missing some options and my front panel buttons are gone in the manager, it no longer asks me which device I have connected to any of the six jacks on the back of the board, and the two front jacks don't work.
I have tried to install v1.78, 1,65, 1.85, 2.09, 2,14, and I have remembered to clean out the old drivers first. It's vista x64 I have and it's a Realtek ALC888 on a Asrock board.
I hope you have some suggestions, and thanks in advance.

Hello knector,

Make sure all your drivers are up to date, and your mobo drivers are installed.

Re: Realtek Manager Missing Options

Alright. I have another idea. Open up your case, and check to see that the connector from the front of the case is indeed plugged into the motherboard. If not, that is your problem.

Re: Realtek Manager Missing Options

Do you have a BIOS setting to enable HD audio?

Re: Realtek Manager Missing Options

I will try to look, but do you think that could hlep it to recognize the front jacks and the missing settings.

Re: Realtek Manager Missing Options

Though you say everything's hooked up right, perhaps it'll help to re-install everything (hardware).

Be sure you have put in the Hi-Def audio connector on your motherboard, and not the AC '97.

Re: Realtek Manager Missing Options

Knector,

the audio is all onboard right? Or is it a separate card?
