Service (how to delete)

I noticed a new service appreared in the services list. It is called BTIKIJJX, has no depencies and is strangely located under C:\Users\Calabrache\AppData\Local\Temp\BTIKIJJX.exe and the file does not exist anymore. Can I delete this service and how ? THanks

Re: Service (how to delete)

Hello Calabrache,

I would strongly recommend that you create a restore point before doing this just in case you need to restore the deleted service, but this will show you how to delete it.

Services - Delete

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Would you know by any chance if the same approch could be done with the task scheduler. I have also some task that the task scheduler does not display because they are corrupted... because if i do schtasks /query the system tells me two tasks are corrupted or have been tampered but they do not appear in the taskscheduler nor can i delete by using schtasks /delete

Re: Service (how to delete)

Hello Calabrache,

This tutorial below can help show you how to create a task.

Task Scheduler - Create Task

You might create one to run a program, and have it run the restart shortcut below as you wanted to see how it works.

Restart

Hope this helps,
Shawn
