I cannot figure this out myself so I am hoping you all can help me out. When I start up my computer and log in, I am greeted with this: ![]() I have no idea what is causing it. I have not installed any new hardware in weeks! I suspect it is my KB driver, because every now and then, the keyboard will not work when it starts up, and same with the mouse... Help!!!! ~Lordbob P.S. This is posted in the Driver forums originally, but I received no answer, and I know this forum is read more, so forgive the double post or delete the old one. Thanks! |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin Hello Lordbob, Have you alread tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard and mouse drivers to see if that may help? Sometimes they may just get corrupted by something. Also check to see if there may a newer driver version available for them that may address this issue. Hope this helps for now, Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin You can take a look through Device Manager when you get this error to hopefully see a device that has been flagged as not working properly since the driver was not loaded. I would suspect like you that it may be the keyboard also since it will not work sometimes. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin Just curious.... Has your auto windows update changed the driver? I found this to be a problem with the driver for my Internet connection. It really bugged me until I figured out that Vista auto updated without me realizing it. |

| Windows 7 x64 build 7100 & Ubuntu 9.04 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin Whoops I forgot to say what happened! Ok, so Brink, I reinstalled and updated all the mouse and KB drivers, and when I restarted, the same error popped up. So I went to here to let you guys know, and I realized the KB was off!! So I had to restart twice... This is not a major issue, but it is bugging the HELL outta me!! ~Lordbob EDIT: I forgot, I looked in Device Manager, and the Mouse was listed correctly, but the keyboard was listed as a working HID interface device. The KB and mouse are made by the same company, but the Razer Lachesis (mouse) is shown correctly but the Tarantula (KB) is the HID device.....? Last edited by lordbob75; 02-08-2009 at 11:34 AM.. | Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin lordbob, I kinda have the same problem, in the Device Manager, my Logitech G15 appears only as an HID Keyboard Device (actually, I have two instances of it there). Now, my G7 at least appears as a Logitech HID-complient Cordless Mouse but the names of each one are not there. I don't have the pop-up error that you have but I know they don't work 100% with Vista. Blaming MS or Logitech seems moot (sp?) at this point, I just live with it. Hope you do get to at least get rid of that pop-up though. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin Lordbob, It appears that the KB driver file is trying to run at startup as an administrator which would get blocked by default, or you have to click on Continue at startup, in Vista. As a test, look in MSCONFIG to see what file is being loaded for the KB driver, then see if creating a task in Task Scheduler for the KB driver file to run as startup instead. You can use OPTION ONE (Method Two) in this tutorial to help show you how to. Afterwards, disable the KB driver from starting in the normal startup program list to test the new task one instead. | Windows 7 x64 build 7100 & Ubuntu 9.04 | Re: Driver Not loaded, Try Running as Admin Brink, now that I think of it, I had UAC turned off until just recently. I turned it back on, and I think that is when this started..... The KB would still turn off randomly, but now I'm getting the warning? ~Lordbob |
