Nvidia driver doesn't allow DirectDraw option

Hello, I want to disable DirectDraw acceleration in order to play some older games (that is Red Alert 2) but when I open dxdiag there is no option to disable DirectDraw. I only see that it is enabled, but can't change anything about it. Also, when I check the display settings (Control Panel -> Advanced Settings -> Troubleshooting) it says that the display driver doesn't allow changes about hardware acceleration. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 and my driver is 179.14. Can anyone help me?
