That code is saying windows can't find a working driver. You may need to do a manual install/update. In device manager locate the adapter -

- Right click it
- Choose Properties
- Click the Driver tab and
- Choose “Update Driver”

When asked “How do you want to search for software driver” - choose “Search automatically for updated driver software” – if found Windows will install the driver.

If that doesn’t work –

Choose “Browse my computer for software driver” and locate the folder where the adapter contents have been extracted, or, if you have a disk or CD, point to it and let Windows do the install.

Hopefully will get you up and running.

Let us know.

Good luck

Shutdown, pull the card out, reboot, shutdown, reinstall the card, reboot, do a manual driver install. If that doesn't work, then either the card is bad, or those drivers are not Vista compatible.
