USB...in general

I'm sure that there are a lot of topics about people's USB mouses and keyboards not working...Well the same thing has happened to me. I tried putting the keyboard and mouse into other USB ports but to no avail. It seems that all of my USB ports have something wrong with them, because when I plugged my iPod in(At the login screen) it didn't even start charging.

The strangest thing is that the USB ports all seem to be shot, but the keyboard still works in BIOS.

Help please :(

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Welcome to the Forum.

If your Keyboard is working in Bios then the USB ports are working. Have you checked the setting in the Bios for USB to see what is detected? and to make sure that all settings are correct see picture as a guide.

If you can boot into windows check in Device Manager to see what is showing for your USB Drivers (You might have to use/borrow a ps2 keyboard/mouse for this)
