corrupt disk after format with linux settings.

Hi, I was trying to install Fedora 10 (linux distro)
but I had accidentally changed settings for both hard drives.. Meaning I formatted both hard drives.. and when the installation failed, I had the error "no operating system found"

I had a C:/ drive
and an X:/ drive.. I can't see my C:/ drive.. but in CMD I'm using X:/ but it was formatted so.. hehe.. no operating system..

I used the Vista DVD.. I tried to format but I get a disk error.
(corrupted)

Now I'm not sure what to do to format my drives to NTFS..
I wana get my data back aswell.. But I doubt it'll be there if it's there.. I can't see..

So.. what would you suggest?
Thanks!

EDIT

I just delete to partitions from disk 0..
So I have 153 Gb free space..
But Windows install says "Windows is unable to find system volume that meets its criteria for installation" ?
LOL What?

Windows is unable to find system volume that meets its criteria for installation

Is the message i receive when I try to do a new install...
Also I have a 400GB drive which was the one I wasn't trying to use for linux (fedora)
but accidentally used both drives for fedora.

I forgot what Fedora used to format but I think it was sec3 or something..
Is it possible to format to NTFS? Because vista CD can't do it..
:/

Is it possible to get the information back from my drive?

Hello GaMt

Windows is unable to find system volume that meets its criteria for installation

Normally you just have to delete the Partion/Drive and then install Vista

I forgot what Fedora used to format but I think it was ext3 or something..
Is it possible to format to NTFS? Because vista CD can't do it..

Yes you can use the Fedora to fomat to NTFS But as I said above you are better off to delete the HDD with Vista and then start a fresh install

Is it possible to get the information back from my drive?

If the drive has been formatted for Linux then no the chances are not good

PS you can also use this to access and delete the Drive;

Hi GaMT,

This looks to be a Network driver problem If you Visit the website for your hardware you should be able to download working Vista Drivers It could also be possible that you might find a hotfix for it

IF you have difficulties let me know your specs and I will try to find it for you :)

Hmmm.. so this wasn't an nforce driver problem.. but my ralink wireless card, duhh. :P
Okay so the drivers on disc were a 2006 driver.. now I have the 2007 (vista driver)

All seems good for now.. I'll leave this as un-solved for a day to see what happends..

Thank You.

EDIT
Hmm.. Just got a STOP bsod when I went I was trying to un-check a windows update.

Damn, just got the NETIO.sys error again....
Now i'm totally unsure what to do, I have up-2-date nforce drivers, ralink drivers, video card drivers..
check my system specs.
