Epson Stylus Photo 825

Hello. I just installed XP 64-bit and to my frustration there are no drivers for my printer. I am considering doing a Vista 64-Bit install, but I am afraid that I may run into the same problem. Epson's site says the drivers are "In-Box" which they say means, and I quote:

"Drivers are included with Windows Vista. Just connect your Epson product to your computer and follow the on-screen instructions that Windows Vista displays to guide you through driver installation."

But Vista site has a question mark as to whether it is compatible. Can someone please advise if my printer is compatible and if Vista 64 has drivers. Also if so how do I install correctly. TIA.

Unfortunately they do not state whether it'll have 64-bit support or not. And looking under the driver downloads sections shows no support for Vista. - Epson Stylus Photo 825, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.

You'll have to use the CD as stated here - Epson America, Inc. - Support - Highlights. It "might" have 64-bit drivers??? Your other choice is to give Epson's tech support a call.

The fact that you have issues under XP x64, and the Vista compatibility chart lists a question mark lends creedence that your printer is probably not supported under Vista x64. But...like I said before, you can always try.

Do take note that even though there is a question mark under Vista 32, Epson states that the drivers are on the disk, so...??? Windows Vista Compatibility Epson Stylus PHOTO 825

Sorry
