| vista 64bit, home basic | Vista 64 Raid5 Hi all, hope somebody can help, I need help! Just built new pc, loaded vista 64 home basic, works well in sata ide mode. I have three 1.5tb seagate hdds & want to run them on raid 5. Bios set on ide mode all sata drives can be seen, reset to raid they disapear in bios? On start up (in raid mode) shows healthy raid 5 at 2.72tb, load vista from dvd, gets to load drivers & it will not find any. If I browse disc I can see the file, select it & it does not find it, says no drive found???? No advanced option availabe. If that makes any sense to anybody, please help. Asus M3N HT-Deluxe Motherboard AMD Phenom x4 9650 2.3Ghz cpu Ocz 4Gb Phill. |

Welcome to the forum, It is normal that RAID discs do not show up in the BIOS When you install Vista you have to load the RAID drivers form the motherboard CD This is all explained in the motherboard handbook. If you need to download the drivers or hand book have a look here; ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- You have to give in your motherboard details to go to the download page. I hope this helps Pooch |

| vista 64bit, home basic | Re: Vista 64 Raid5 Pooch, thanks very much for the reply. I have all the drivers both off the mother board dvd & I downloaded them off the asus web site. Vista just will not find them or use them, more likely I'm just to thick to do it correctly!! |
