| vista | Startuprepair ... Help Hey guys and girls, I really need your help here!!... My PC wont start onto my Desktop Screen, the only thing you can see is the "System Recovery", and the "System Recovery" doesnt work (it wont repair). The computer did shutdown while I completed an programinstallation, probably a virus?:S Acer, Vista Home: details problem: Problem event name: StartupRepair v2 Problem signature 01: Autofailover Problem signature 02 : 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000 Problem signature 03 : 6 Problem signature 04: 1048592 Problem signature 05: corrupt file Problem signature 06: corrupt file Problem signature 07 : 3221225705 Problem signature 08: 2 Problem signature 09: System Restore Problem signature 10: 0 OS version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1 Local ID 1033 Is there a way of getting this fixed? ![]() Thanks for the help!! |

Help looks like the built in startup repair is corrupt , this isusually stored on a seperate partition on your hard drive , im assuming its a shop bought pc and you have no actual Vista disc , with a Vista disc you can do a repair , if your repair files are corrupt there really is no option for you have you tried ringing Acer support?or you could try making a repair disk Windows Vista Recovery Disc Download — The NeoSmart Files |

Ahhh really? what a pitty ![]() Yeah maybe I should call Acer indeed...
