Logitech G5 Mouse Problem

Hello,
I have had a problem with my Logitech G5 mouse since i got my new Computer.
I did not have this problem on my old Computer (Vista 32bit) and now, it randomly freezes, and then works again. My specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.77Ghz
Bundkort: P5N32-SLI Premium
RAM: 2gb Corsair XMS2 xtreme 800mhz
Graphic: Geforce XFX 8800 ULTRA 756Mb Dedikeret

Windows Vista 64 bit Home Basic.

I have tried it on another Computer which is running a bit lower on specs, but runs vista 32bit, and theres no problems, what so ever on there.

I have tried to reinstall the drivers (Also for Windows Vista 64Bit) from logitechs homepage, and reconnect the mouse in a different usb port,
but no luck yet.

i hope someone knows how to fix this, or have a suggestion, as it is driving me crazy, to see the mouse freeze constantly.

by the way, i have checked the speed, and it runs at 500hz

Thanks

Re: Logitech G5 Mouse Problem

Hey,
No worries now: I have been thinking alot about the problem, and found a solution:
Set the Mouse rate down.

It works fine now, and theres no other problems..

Hey, I've got the same problem, and the leds just turn off when the mouse freezes, and I've tried the softwares I could find but nothing helps, where do you configure the mouse rate?

i think he means the report rate , open your setpoint software and click the tab on the left with the castle on it (sorry dunno what its called im looking at my G5 sofware here) then click advanced game settings you will see report rate at the bottom , ideally you want it as high as possible (100) but the higher the setting the more resources your software will use , basically its the number of times per second your mouse tells your cpu its position , a high report rate gives for very accurate gaming and gives you thoose vital extra milliseconds gain ovr your opponent

Possibly if your rig is a little underpowered a high report rate could couse a problem
