Re: Driver & cd incompability issue

Unless your laptop has 2GBs or more of RAM, you will have a helluva time navigating with Vista but, that's not why you posted the help for so... here's what I can tell you.

If your laptop is 4 years old, the drivers for it could be 5 or even 5 years old so of course they will not be compatible with Vista.

Good thing is that all you gotta do is go to Realtek and download their latest Sound Drivers compatible with Vista

Here are the drivers for Vista for the Realtek AC97 audio... I am not 100% sure but the majority of PCs with onboard audio use it.

Realtek

I believe the following are the drivers for the Realtek Ethernet card for your Internet Browsing. Again, I am not 100% sure so... investigate a little further if you wish.

Now, here's where we're going to get into the nitty gritty, your SIS Graphics Card does not support Vista Ultimate in any way shape or form, at least, none that I can see but since I am not a PC Guru, I may be wrong and you may have a chance yet

You may want to try downloading the drivers for the Vista Home/Premium and see if that does the trick... you are on your own again.

This should get you going... Good Luck and come back to tell us how you fair.

Tchau... Bon dia
