Vista - Help with 'Mini DV to PC'!

Hello there, I'm having trouble trying to transfer my 'Mini DV' videos to my PC but i'm getting there. So, I got the Firewire connection hooked up into my computer and I got a pop-up saying it was found. I clicked on the pop-up, then there was info that said the Camera was unknown and had no drivers. Now, I'm mixed up even more. I'm using Windows Movie Maker to import it from the camera, it says "Import video could not find a compatible digital video device". I checked if everything was connected the right way and the Camera screen had 'DV in', now I don't know what I should do. Any suggestions..?
