| Vista 64 Home Premium | System not recognizing cd is in drive I have found that many people are having this same problem. I have not seen any recent posts concerning this matter so maybe someone found a solution. Pointer anyone? here is my problem: inserting any type of disk(OEM, data, music, blank, etc) in either of the drives results in nothing happening, well, it does ask me if I would like the disk(fixated already) formatted, that goes for ANY disk. I CAN get the cd-rom and dvd drive to work if I have at least one disk inserted on a restart. Don't know why this works. Im sure someone here does. I hear this problem occurs on XP also and might be related to an MS update. Any help out there?..in here? My rig is: Asus MVP32+ AMD Phenom Quad BE 2.6 Corsair RAM 4 gigs Asus dvd-rom drive Blue Ray drive Window Vista 64 Home Premium |
