recently i installed a new rig at work with these specs

Q8200
ep45-ud3r
arctic cooler freezer 7
8GB Gskill
VisonTek 3860
WD 500GB HDD
this LG cd rom

i installed vista x64 with no problems, everything is fine. now, however, the cd rom is not showing up in my computer, or anywhere. i checked device manager and it says there is a problem with the driver. tried updating the driver, it just says that its up to date but there is a problem with it. what could be the cause? i thought you didnt need to install drivers for a cd rom. this is after i had already used the drive. the computer was turned off for the night, and when it came back on in the morning this was the case.

any ideas? thanks!!
