OK, first i have a HP dv7-1267cl laptop with amd turon X2 @ 2.20 ghz and 4 gig memory it came with Win home premium and i just did a fresh R&R with Vista Ultimate so needless to say i have reformatted everything. well everything seems to be going good i am fully updated via microsoft update and HP except for 2 things that just will not accept their drivers one of the is called unknown device and the other is network controller which is my broadcom wireless card I have tried to go through microsoft update i have DL'ed the driver from HP and tried installing it from my desktop and yes, I unistalled the devices in device mgr beforehand i cant tell you how many times i have Restarted the PCand everytime i get the messages about installing those drivers and then subsequently get the message that they failed so i have no wireless but do have hard line.... Check the place the wireless driver gets unzipped to, then try to manually update the driver by right clicking on network controller & clicking on update driver & specify the directory. And then check if the driver would get installed or not.
