I built a new system using an MSI K9A2 mobo and installed Vista Ultimate 64 successfully on that system. I then began installing the drivers and utilities from the CD that came with my mobo. Everything went well until I installed some of the utilities on the CD and then I receive a BSOD when I login normally to Vista. Once the reboot occurs I can succesfully login to Vista in safe mode. I then uninstalled all of the drivers which were originally on the CD but the BSOD still occurs in normal mode. Unfortunately I can not uninstall all of the utilities in safe mode because two of them are Vista services and when I login in safe mode and attempt to uninstall the utilities I am given the message that "The Windows Installer Service" can not be accessed or "The Windows Installer Service is not accessible in safe mode".
What good is safe mode if one can not get rid of whatever appears to be causing a BSOD <g> ?
Does anybody know of a way around this problem so I can get rid of the utility which appears to be causing my BSOD ?
