Vista x64 driver for Alps Pointing Device

I am in search of drivers for the touch pad on my Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop. Dell does not support x64 so there is no help there.
Here is my system info:
Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation
System Manufacturer Dell Inc.
System Model Inspiron 1525
System Type x64-based PC
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHz, 1833 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A16, 10/16/08
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB

If all else fails and no driver can be found cant someone tell me how to disable the pointing device?

Thank you.

I'm gonna try this with an Dell Inspiron 1721 with Windows Vista x64 to see if it works. Will report back if it does or not. I think there's a fairly good chance it might. Wish me luck.
