Vista won't recognize Verizon wireless card

I got a new laptop with Vista (I have XP on my last laptop) I know nothing on the technical end of a computer so any help would be very much appreciated.

Verizon tried for almost 2 hours to figure it out. I want my wireless card, which I have been using for many months installed on my new computer. Verizon finally got that installed, yet Vista will not recognize it is there. It says something about the required driver is not installed, yet I cannot get onto the internet with that laptop to get the driver.

Sorry if I sound like a real computer dummy here.

You laptop has a port for dial up internet access? Dial up and get the driver you need.

Get the driver from another computer (friend or family) that has internet access and then copy it to your desktop and run it... easiest way.
