I installed a USB Motorola Modem so that I can use my Nextel to connect to the internet. Everything was fine, until I rebooted. Once I reboot the touchpad and keyboard didn't work. This was even in safemode and at the login screen. I then plugged in a USB mouse and keyboard and uninstalled the Modem. Still no workie. When I go into Device Manger have lots of errors. When I go into update the drivers it states its the best driver but (code 37). Also the the keyboard and touchpad isn't listed in device manager either. I even went back and attempted to restore and rollback before I installed the USB modem and it always fails. Even going 5 days back. After doing some searching someone stated it was related to the regestry. Sadly I would just wipe it out and start over but its a computer from Fry's and no Vista disk came with it.
