| Member | bios update/upgrade Question: when and how often should one update/upgrade one's bios on there PC? Even if that PC is not having any problems. I am a firm believer in "if it's not broke don't fix it" saying but would like some sort of answer to this question. |

Although the process is fairly easy, it is still fraught with danger and can quite easily leave you with an expensive doorstop if things go wrong or if you interrupt the procedure (or suffer a powercut). Personally, I have not updated the BIOS on any of my previous systems. |

| Lost in Cyberspace | Re: bios update/upgrade I was one of those "there's a new update for my Bios/Driver, let me do it" kind of guy but... not anymore. If my rig is working normally, I won't update at all unless I read that the new bios update or driver fixes or enhances something on the pc and even then, I will try to read the pros and cons of it. |
