backup - secrets

I am trying to create a full system back up to my 1 terribyte secondary harddrive.

I have 2 consecutive errors as displayed in the jpg images.

I have found reports that people have experienced this with their cd burning software, and some crap that the US government is watching (whatever).

To put it simply the backup proceedure will not find any strage media.
Could anyone shed some light?

The operating software is Vista Ultimate

Re: backup - secrets

I had the same problem! According to Microsoft, this is one of the clitches Vista has for many people. The only suggestion I found that Microsoft had to offer was to reformat. And, so eventually I did.

Good luck!

Re: backup - secrets

I found the solution.

With thanks to some people with posts on other sites this is how you combat it:

It turns out it was a trojan. After somehow getting this trojan i found i could not run spybot or malwarebytes.

I downloaded Cureit from DrWeb and ran that and now i can perform all backups and run Spybot and Malwarebytes.
