| Vista Home Premium 32 | TSST Corp DVD+RW TS-H653 A - Driver Issue OK, So I have the DVD/RW device listed above in a DELL Dimension E520 w/ Vista Home Premium and it just stopped working altogether. I get no messages at all. When I insert a CD I get no response. I checked for driver updates and I supposedly have the most current driver. I tried to reinstall to no avail. I tried to uninstall and reboot thinking it would reinstall itself and get error code 39 telling me the driver is corrupt or missing. I went to the DELL firmware page, downloaded the update R152871 and when I go install it I get a warning box saying DRIVE NOT FOUND. Anyone know what the deal is? Thanks. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: TSST Corp DVD+RW TS-H653 A - Driver Issue Hi VinB: I don't know if this will be of any help to you, but have you opened your My Computer file to check to see if your drive letter has changed? Every so often when I install a disk I get nothing. I check and sure enough the drive letter has been changed from E to F. I've tried changing it back in Computer Management but with no luck. The only way I can get it back is to do a system restore. In fact, I'm going to start a new thread to see if any one knows why this happens Good Luck Powell |

| Vista Bussiness x64 PL | Re: TSST Corp DVD+RW TS-H653 A - Driver Issue .Even I made keepsake.Look these photos (before error an with error):When this kind of error appear the hanged driver is not visible in device manager -you only see it in registry You can read entries in UpperFilter/LowerFilter ->these coresponds to driver service which is hanged.Of course you have to find this driver service in HKLM\System\CurrentControl\Set\Services For example in my image LowerFilter=PxHelp this means driver service is PxHelp and service key is HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PxHelp and then easy to read & locate driver. Of course PxHelp.sys is non-system driver Many other devices also may have filters but these could be fully natural filters and removing them cause to crash your system or any error for example mouse don't work and likely. Example with other device: SB X-FI Vista 64 install Code 39 Error Last edited by Flavius; 06-25-2009 at 12:18 AM.. |
