Vista Tutorial - Driver for printer

I have a Canon LBP-2900 printer. Canon does not offer x64 drivers for this printer. I wonder if there is a way to solve this problem. I don't know how a printer server works, but I was wondering if with such a device could I solve the problem. Do I need x64 drivers (it is just a gateway) or has build-in driver system?

You can try two methods

1.Open "Add new hardware" (hdwwiz.cpl) and try drivers for LBP 2460 or LBP 3260 - unfortunately there is no driver exactly for your model

Thanks. I found in past that thread, I tried but didn't work. Still thinking about the print-server way to by-pass this problem.

And have you tried my method one :this means with the drivers from other models? If also it fail I don't see any solution for you apart buy another printer

Yes. I tried with LBP-3010 which is the newer replacement for LBP-2900 and has x64 drivers. Do no work.

As I understand from You, the print-server device will not do anything for me....
This is actualy very very bad, since I bought this printer less than one year ago and works great. Also not very happy spending another cash only for something like this.

Really disappointed on Canon.
