Hey vista users,
I am new to this forums but i have been lurking around this forum for a long time... But now it is time for me to post...

I have had this problem for the last 3 days... I tried everything i could to fix it but nothing worked..

Problem:
My mouse double clicks when i click onces...

Stuff i found out:
Doesnt happen when i start the computer (and while startup programs are loading)
Doesnt happen in Safe Mode
Doesnt happen always... but happens more than 95% times

Anyone know if this is some kind of program?
It is so annoying..

what brand is the mouse?

as a temporary workaround, you can right-click and select commands from the menu.

HI Aashwin, if you go into -contol panel- open -folder otions-, from there you can reset your mouse to either single click or doube click. If it is playing up try resetting it a to alternate options a couple of times if this doesnt fix it, your mouse itself may well be the problem (they do wear out)

Hi aashwin, and welcome to posting ;)

In my case (gamer), my mouse (3 months old $120 mouse) is already dying... I ofter get double clicks when I click only once. Try swaping your mouse for another one, restart and do some clicking around. If the problem persist, try changing the "double clicking speed" for the mouse from the control panel.

Cheers,

2 hours to boot up ?!

Hmm. You have something wrong then. Virusi, malware, or data miner cookies. Scan your computer with ad-aware, for the data miner cookies, and a good anti-virus program. An Anti-malware program is a good idea to.
