| Vista Home Premium x64 | USB 2.0 pci vista 64 I have installed a USB 2.0 pci card in my desktop but cannot get it to run as 2.0. Each time I turn my computer on it comes up with a message about unknown hardware. I tried installing the driver from the CD but when i reboot my computer I still get the same message. I thought this was because my pci card wasnt compatible with vista so i bought a new card which is, however I think the drivers are only for 32. When I try to run the install an error message comes up sayin the OS is not supported. I can use the pci card and run usb devices, but only at 1.1 speeds. Are there any drivers for 64 version that I can use? Please help, this issue has been bugging me for far too long |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: USB 2.0 pci vista 64 Not sure if this is what you want but... Computer Model: ALiveNF4G-DVI OS Name: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium OS Version: 6.0.6001 System Type: x64-based PC Total Physical Memory: 2047 MB Windows Directory: C:\Windows BIOS Version: Default System BIOS CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Resolution: 1280 x 1024 x 4294967296 colors the current pci card is made by Pluscom, model is VT6212L. I've tried downloading the drivers but I get the same error saying 'this package does not contain the driver for this OS' No matter where I look I cannot seem to find a driver that will actually allow me to install it. Is this just another of the wonderful compatibility problems I keep coming across that are 64 specific and there is nothing I can do about it? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: USB 2.0 pci vista 64 Hi matttkd, It sounds like the card is not compatible with a 64-bit OS. If you can not find any compatible drivers you'll need to replace the card. Also, have you been to the Pluscom Forum? Sorry |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: USB 2.0 pci vista 64 I have searched the forum there, but nobody else has had the same problem. I have tried registering myself and masking a new thread, however each time I try to get them to send me the activation email an error comes up, so I cannot activate an account to post a message. Rubbish |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: USB 2.0 pci vista 64 Yeah, it appears in device manager as 'unknown device'. There is nothing under the USB tab about 2.0 and when I remove the card the unknown device is no longer there. The card itself does work, but Im fairly certain its not working at 2.0 speed. In theory vista should already have the drivers installed, but I just cannot get it to recognise the device. |
