Netgear WGR614

I recently purchased this router, and the os required to run the driver is a 32 bit driver, but I have 64 bit vista. Is there any way I can fix this?

Hello rhcpfan,
Follow the link and you should be able to get the driver you need.
Good luck and post your results, thanks.

Re: Netgear WGR614

thanks for trying to help. I'm not that great at understanding computers, but from what I've gathered, that firmware update doesn't change the fact that the the driver doesn't support Vista 64... I don't know, I'm really confused and ill probably end up returning the router.

You've Misunderstood Stoney. a router doesnt require a driver ON the PC you are using, but a firmware upgrade to ensure compatibility.

To upgrade a router's firmware, type 192.168.1.1 in the browser search bar and input the correct username and password. once inside, find the "Router Upgrade"
section (NetGear) and use the file you downloaded from the site to upgrade the firmware.

If you are trying to find a driver for a WIRELESS ADAPTER on your PC, then thats not what the WGR614 even is.

Find the drivers for your adapter if you have one, or if your asking about the Wireless G router, then upgrade its firmware if you haven't already.

Sorry to sound so mean.
