64bit Vista drivers won't install on Touchsmart

I've been trying to update my Touchsmart IQ506's video drivers for the Nvidia 9300GS.

This has not been going well, the current drivers I'm trying to install are 186.03_notebook_winvista I've already made sure I'm using the 64bit drivers.

Currently when I check Run As Administrator, the installation screen tells me I'm trying to install 64bit Drivers on a 32bit OS.

but when I don't have Run as administrator, the installation screen tells me that there is no compatible hardware in my computer.

HP's website says the latest drivers are 17x.xx, I'd rather install from the gpu manufacturer, to begin with, because as I've noticed with dell, they don't update the drivers on their site often.

I've tried changing where the drivers extract with no luck.

I'm starting to think that either HP has a driver lock, so you need HP signed drivers to update, or the Touchscreen is interfering with the installation.
