Vista - ksproxy.ax

Can anyone tell me what this update from windows on 8-01-09 is? It is listed ksproxy.ax the name is ViXS Systems Inc. Streaming Media and broadcast devices-Vixs PureTV-U 48A3 (NTSC/ATSC Combo. It first showed up in my problem and solutions report and then as a recommended update. Supported video standards NTSC (M) 7.5 IRE black, NTSC (M) 0 IRE black (japan). Released in Sept. 2007 a little old I'm thinking. The big question is why did I get it, and do I need it. Device locator ven_1745&dev_2100&subkeys_48a31043&rev_00#4&133377ee&0&4880. The Device driver id is {17CCA71B-ECD7-11D0-B908-00A0C9223196}. Also how do you get it out of the system, it is not in the installed updates? Thanks.

Its a support driver for what looks like a tv tuner. Do you have a tv tuner installed?

Yes I do have a TV Tuner so I guess it ok. Enclosed is the Screenshot from PC Doctor information. Also a shot of the Sound,vido and game controllers from Vixs Systems. Is this a part of SP2 download?

Its not part of SP2, but occasionally Vista will find and update new drivers for your hardware. You could also click update drivers in device manager for that card and see if any newer updates are available. Here is a link if you have an HP media centre pc. If not, then you don't need it.
