Unfortunately I believe your scanner doesn't yet have drivers that support 64-bit.

At the Epson support site I was unable to find any trace of 64-bit drivers, only 32-bit. You could try the 64-bit drivers for a scanner similar (it is a bit of a guess) to yours but nothing can be guaranteed.

You could try contacting Epson about drivers as they might be able to steer you to an alternative.

I hope I have helped. :D

Only one problem , there is a set of $ all over the scan document.

That's because the program you downloaded is only a trial. You have to purchase the full version, unfortunately.

Epson Perfection 1640SU - Driver Problem - Windows 7 Forums

Open it with 7-Zip (or whatever you use), extract the file named _winzip_, extract the files contained in _winzip_ using 7-Zip (or whatever you use).

Open Es27.inf and replace all instances of USB\VID_04B8&PID_011B with USB\VID_04B8&PID_010A and save and close the file.

Now go to the Device Manager, right click your scanner, Update Driver and Software...
Browse my computer..... and use the folder you extracted _winzip_ (with the now modified Es27.inf) to.[quote\]
