Video Hardware problem with my SONY VAIO

I have a Sony VAIO which I purchased 14 months ago. It has been running warm for a while now until last month it would not start up. When you switch on you get a page of letter a' s then a blue and black vertical striped page then nothing.

The Start up repair will not work.

It took a while but finally I got a response on the Problem Solutions from Microsoft suggesting that there was a problem in that there was a 'video hardware error'.

It has since said there is also a problem with the 6-4 adaptor.

I did try to download a driver update however it says that it can't recognise the software and will not complete.

I have run a registry scan and it found hundreds of problems with Reg Cure however it woill not let me actually make the purchase so that I can get unlimited fixes.

The model is VGN-S71 E

reg cure wont help , its not a reg issue , either way reg cure still wont help its a waste of cash dont buy it mate trust me. 100% of the "issues" it found wont actually be issues at all , just redundent reg keys which are no problem and never will be.

it seems you have a hardware issue and your only resolution is an RMA (return to manufacturer) or a repair shop (is it still under warranty?) a repair shop will be expensive and most likely a waste of time.
