Missing Registry Keys

MS tech repaired disk failure by reinstall of Ultimate. Attempted to reload HP printer but install aborted due to missing registry keys. Reload was attempted using CD and HP driver software download....same results. Missing keys depicted were: slbcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, gpkcsp.dll, Enum. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Missing Registry Keys

This is old HP bug
Make sure you have already three files: slbcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, gpkcsp.dll in C:\Windows\System32 -if not you have to download them for example from here:sccbase.dll download - free dll files

Next import this fix to registry attached below+restart:

Re: Missing Registry Keys

Thanks for the help in restoring lost reg keys. Now printer install is aborted because installer can't access "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum." Your expertise would, again, be much appreciated in recommending a solution. Thanks. Larry at srs

Oh,yes -I forgotten about other obstcles to install this driver .

But to import fix to ENUM key will small problem with permission because only SYSTEM account have only full access to these key.To workarround this problem you have to run regedit from SYSTEM account

Download PsTools PsTools
Extract from this psexec.exe file and place it in C:\Windows\System32

You have to also make sure you have enum.dll in C:\Windows\System32 -if not you have to download & place this module for example from this:Free Download DLL and Support Forum (without meaning from where)

Next run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges (right click on this file as admin)
and type:

psexec -s -i -d regedit

File>>Import and choose HP2.reg attached below

Next obstacle as far I remember will be missing Certclass.inf file.If yes download this file from HERE and place it in C:\Windows\inf

File Type: zip HP2.zip (272 Bytes, 20 views)

These three files related only to xp edition and not present vista

After all, downloading .dll files from unknown sites is not good for your privacy, through that .dll files they can execute codes remotely..

First of all delete the downloaded .dll files from your system32 directory

Your problem is, you are trying to install the drivers for your vista computer with Xp compatible installation package. Download the vista compatible drivers for your product and try to install.

Hope this will help

I.These files default never exist in Vista -none system file is replaced it will work under x32 Vista
II.These sites are fully save and I can sure you files from this site are not infected
III.This problem happen also for special for Vista Package http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-47767-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=441115&os=2093〈=en -for XP is similar issue
