| vista hp x64 | x64 driver roll-back help Hi, I updated my video driver (intel) today and now windows will not start up (even in safe mode). I keep getting the bsod "a problem has been detected and...". Using "last know good configuration" does not work either. I am able to browse the contents of the hard driving using ubuntu, so I was wondering if there was a way to remove the driver that I installed earlier? Have no idea where to look or how to remove it. Even a VGA driver would at least get me there so I can re-install the old driver. Basically, I want to disable the Intel video driver so it will default to VGA 640X480. Can this be done? Toshiba Laptop Vista X64 Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Last edited by jclaypc; 08-25-2009 at 09:43 PM.. |

| vista hp x64 | Solved Sorry about that. I misdiagnosed the issue. Vista Repair let me do a chkdsk /f on the C drive. Now I am able to logon. Thanks for the views! |
