Vista X64 Driver for PVR

XP Pro Media Center Addition came with a personal-video-recorder hardware interface which connected to the TV or cable box. It was possible to watch TV either in a window or full screen.
Now that i have upgraded to Vista Ultimate X64, the OS doesn't recognize the hardware.
Is there a driver upgrade for that PVR? Thanks

What is the make and model of your PVR.

The only information i have found on the web is that because i am using Vista 64, the old drivers won't work. I haven't been able to find a new one. Adaptec is no longer making that model and there are not drivers.

Download HP Pavilion m7690n TV Tuner Driver Driver for Windows Vista - Softpedia
is a 32-bit driver. it won't install on my 64-bit system. I'll try others later and post.

Keep us updated, it is old hardware which is the main problem with new os`s.

Will do. Forums are great. I was looking for a media card driver on an HP forum and was directed to a Leveno site for it! it worked.

I went to the Lenovo site here (Lenovo Support & downloads - Ricoh Multi Card Reader Driver for Windows Vista, XP - ThinkPad R61, R61i, R400, R500, T61, T61p, T400, T500, W500, W700, W700ds, Z60m) and downloaded the driver. After installation,the first try said the card (16GB Class 6) wasn't fast enough for readyboost, but when you hit retry, it worked. And has continued to work through restarts and shutdowns. The drive shows up with the ReadyBoost and the free space.
