Vista - Vista recognize my Micro SD 8gb w/adaptor but WONT let me open until I format it!!!!!

HI,first time here post. Like to ask some question about micro sd card.(buy kinda getting frustrated..)
ok,Im using Vista home premium, at my previous install it recognize my Sandisk 8gb Micro sdhc card w/ Adaptor, and everything is fine.
But afterward got some proglem, so i have to re-install the vista.
And this time, computer recognize my drive. But wont let me use it until I format it. (i can open it but nothing in there)
and i get the message:"You need to format the disk in drive x before you can use it."
And yes i try everything i could,install the flash driver from texas instrument and windows sd card roll up package, or even restart the comp with sd card in it.
Everything! I have all my pics in there and tons of important Documents
Can Somebody pls HELP!!! ME!! I am so frustrated right now. Cause i dont wanna format sd card to lose all my pics in there and docs

OS:Vista home premium
Toshiba p100 1.73 Ghz Duo core
Sandisk 8gb Micro SDHC card with Sandisk Sd card adaptor (and i also tried the lexar all-in-one adaptor,it recognize but theres nothing in it.but works fine with other ms pro duo 2gb i have and my single knigston 2 gb usb drive)
PLS HELP!! I NEED ANSWER ASAP!! PLS!!!

As an emergency solution, could you read the drive on another pc, copy the files, then format your media on Vista, copy the files back?

Tks for the reply. I try on my friend's pc also the same thing. its there but got the same message :"You need to format the disk in drive x before you can use it."

I got all my pics and docs in there, dont know what else i can do!

since two computers have told you the same thing I would think its damaged. You might want to get a 3rd party disk utility that works on USB drives to see if you can repair/undelete/fix the drive without formatting. I dont know which work on usb but im sure a quick google will find you several
