Vista - Unexpected_kernel_mode_trap

Hi,
I'm having some real issues with my laptop crashing and coming up with the error: Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap.

Had 6 Blue screens in the last 7 days.

I recently updated to service pack 2 and have updated some drivers.

Properties of the crash are:

Bug check code : 0x1000007f
Parameter 1 : 0x00000008
Parameter 2 : 0x801da000
Parameter 3 : 0x00000000
Parameter 4 : 0x00000000
Caused by driver : ntkrnlpa.exe
Caused by address: ntkrnlpa.exe+aee01

Is there a fix or is it time to take it to the shop?

Hello gzod74,
The file ntkrnlpa.exe is a Vista system file.
I would try a repair with your vista disk.

Repair Install For Vista

Also check the files with this.

System Files - SFC Command

Can you go to c:\windows\minidump, zip the dump files (*.dmp) and upload it to us for analysis.

P.s. I've been troubleshooting this for a couple days now and think i may have some kind of online virus? It only crashes when utorrent is running. Hope this helps and thanks again for all your help.
