1600x1200 distortion in Win7

After I installed Win7, my 1600x1200 resolution display is distorted. Round objects are oblong. When using same hardware with XP, display was correct.

Using Nvidia 9800GTX card on a 37" LCD TV via DVI connector on both ends.

Switching to 1600x1024 solves the problem.

The question is why is it different in Win7 if hardware and drivers are exactly the same.

Did you write down the detailed driver name and version for each one you had in Vista and compare that to everyone you have in Windows 7 to verify that every one is "exactly the same"?

I have a machine running both Vista and Seven, and even with the same hardware, the driver versions are not the same.

It's unlikely that all of yours are "exactly the same", and thus, driver differences could account for display differences.
