    Power State Drive Failure and Blue Screen

    I know this has been a much discussed topic evident by the many results I have found. My Gateway computer is also having this problem. It seemed to be getting more frequent so I took some of the advice here and updated my graphics driver (ATI Radeon HD 4850 series). This computer is only a few months old. Here is the most recent minidump file. Thanks in advance for any help decoding this error. Todd

    Hello Hot Rod Todd,
    This was caused by "sbp2port.sys", do you have any firewire bits on your PC, an ipod, or camera ?.
    This sbp2port.sys works with the 1394 storage support, so if you have any devices connected to your PC, disconnect them and try it, if all goes well, you will need to update your drivers.

    The only firewire device I have is a Seagate external hard drive. I have it disconnected most of the time but I will leave it and see how it goes. I guess I need to update the Seagate driver. Thanks for the tip.
