Any1 knows a HP Scanjet 3500c driver workaround?

It's not working for me

First I noticed it takes abnormally too long to install, additionally in the end it says it failed to install it. I've tried twice already.
I would really appreciate it if someone solved this one could share some info about this.

Hello javierdl,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

Have you tried running the installer with http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/75909-compatibility-mode.html in XP mode and 'run as admin.'

Hope this helps. It worked for my Oki.

And the feedback of course.

Unfortunately running the EXE in Compatibility mode didn't help

It did exactly the same thing. It ran for well over 15 minutes, then it just said that it failed to install. No reason in particular.

Is there still any hope?

Nevermind!
All I had to do was rebooting! After that the installer succeeded this time
