Ok, i in pretty deep s*^t!!

My computer specification is Vista Business, Graphics - NVidia GeForce Go 7400, 2.5GB RAM, 1.6MHz...

I was having some problem with my graphics card, and my display. So, I just disabled my display driver. Yes, it was very stupid...

So, what is happening now is, I can't see anything....nothing. I can't see the Boot menu, the BIOS menu, nothing. I can hear sounds, like the vista opening music, it asks for my password(I cant see it)

after i blindly type my password, u can hear the music showing that it has turned on....so basically everything is there, i just cant see anything.

I am able to perform, some basic tasks, like shut down, restart etc. which I know how to do through my keyboard. I need help in Enabling my Display Driver....

Please Help.....

How do I do that, when I cant see anything? Any cmd command?

I read a tutorial on navigating through start-up and login when theres no screen. I'm sure it was in this help forum. I'll get back to you when I remember where I read it. In the mean time, search the tutorials here. You you may find your answer.

Oh, and have you tried to boot in safe mode? It boots with much lower resolution, so you may be able to reinstall the display driver that way...if that is in fact the issue. Just a thought.

I just tried one thing, and this has made it even weirder...I turned on narrator on vista, which speaks out all the stuff that goes on. I managed to go to device manager and all...

but it says my VGA Graphics is Enabled!!! How can it be, when I cant see anything?
I'll try and install my nvidia graphics again, through narrator...lets see

Hi again praharmitra,
just because it say the graphics are enabled doesnt mean that the driver/s aren't bad. Hopefully reinstalling it will do the trick. If not, and if you are able, check to make sure the settings arent outside of the monitors operating range.

I dont quite follow what u said. "Settings are outside of monitor range" ?

How do I check that?

Can you right click on your desktop and get to personalization? Just look under diplay settings there and you can adjust the resolution. Depending on what type of monitor you have -say, a CRT- then you cant have the res set too high, or it will shut itself down.Try lowering it and see what happens. If you can provide more info as far as system specs, monitor, etc, we can help you much easier.

no u dont get it....i cant see anything, even before windows loads!!! i dunno, i have a feeling my motherboard is screwing up. i had a similar kind of a problem a little time earlier....not that i couldnt see, but i got lots of vertical green lines on my monitor, and was unable to install my graphics driver....I'll get the hardware checked...

I have tried all that you guys said and all I could try too... If you have any other suggestion, i'll give it one last shot, before i go to the techs..

My apologies. I misread the post. It could be as simple as a faulty cable connection. You might try unplugging it and plug it back in. Or it could be a port issue as well. Sorry I couldnt be of more assistance. Try searching the threads here. There have been several post on the subject.

Yeah.... I missed that useful bit of info as well. The more information you can provide the forum in the FIRST post regarding pertinent system information, like type of computer(laptop or desktop) will greatly improve ones chances that a solution will be provided. I'm sorry we weren't able to be of more help.;)

Try doing a power cycle mate... remove battery/ac adaptor/press and hold power button for 90 seconds to release the charge in the capacitors>replace power sources, reboot. Good luck
