I am manually updating a driver from DELL web spport site.
I would like to mauually update for intel driver: chipset software installation utility from Dell Support Website. My question is In control panel, under device manager, under SYSTEM DEVICES...I believe I found 2 items that pertain to the update involved........which item do I click (in system devices) to UPDATE driver???
first item reads: intel R G33/G31/P35 express chip PCI express rout port 29c1
second item reads: intel R G33/G31/P35 express chip processor to I/O controller 29c0
Do I click both items or only 1 to "check for driver update"?

my comp is dell inspiron 530 desktop with windows vista

apprec any help on the matter - thanks in advance

You wouldn't "Update" the driver from Device Manager. Device Manager only looks for drivers from Windows Update, and the download from the DELL Website would be an executable file. Updating chipset drivers aren't usually necessary either.. Are you having trouble with your computer?

BTW, if you do need to download from DELL, just install it from the exectuteable. Pretty much 45% of the devices in Device Manager are directly related to your chipset.
