Fingerprint Suddenly Appeared and Will Not Go Away

I recently updated a bunch of drivers on my Inspiron 1525 with Vista Home Premium 64bit; and, now the Fingerprint logon icon is on my login screen. It wasn't there before and I don't believe it was a part of my updating. I have searched everywhere for the Fingerprint Driver and have not found it or anything that could be linked to it. I wish to remove its annoying presence from my computer.

Does.. your computer have a finger print reader? If not, try doing a system restore.. have you looked in Device Manager ( Start>Right-Click Computer>Manage>Device Manager )
If it's not in there, then try System Restore.. Just open your Start Menu and type in the words "System Restore" and then hit enter.. You can restore the computer to the time before the updates were made - Let me know if you need additional assistance - Good luck!!

I don't have a finger print reader and I had rather not do a system restore because I've had to download a bunch of classwork that I need to keep. There are no registry keys, no evidence in the Device Manager, no files, no updates or downloads to be found, and it doesn't appear in the manual boot of my computer. It just appeared and tries to load whenever I turn on my computer.

System Restore does NOT affect your files and settings.

From MICROSOFT WEBSITE:
System Restore affects Windows system files, programs, and registry settings. It can also make changes to scripts, batch files, and other types of executable files on your computer.

Note

System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos, so it cannot help you restore a deleted file. If you have backups of your files, you can restore the files from a backup.
