Am running Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

Received this error message when installing the software for Epson Workforce 500
> "Windows encountered a problem installing
> the driver software for your device. Windows found driver software for your
> device but encountered an error while attempting to install it "USB
> Composite Device" The system cannot find the file specified."

> I tried to let it find the specific driver online but encountered the same

I am unable to find a solution to this problem, I have searched the
Microsoft site, Googled my error, contacted Dell (my computer maker), been in touch with Epson, who tell me its a Windows problem. I can find very little information that is useful.

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this software several times in regular mode and
in safe mode, anti-virus turned on and off. One time I was able to
print a test page, then nothing after that. Now, recently I have not even
been able to uninstall the printer driver, I get an error message stating that the printer driver cannot be removed. I have tried every one of my USB ports (all 8 of
them). MS Vista website states that this printer is compatible with this version of Vista.
There is very little information on a problem such as this. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
